Youth Development Funding (YDP)

Youth Development funding is awarded to organizations offering community-level services designed to promote positive youth development for youth age 0-21. Such programs may include, but are not limited to: programs that promote physical and emotional wellness, educational achievement or civic, family and community engagement; family support services; services to prevent juvenile delinquency, child abuse and neglect; services to avert family crisis; and services to assist youth in need of crisis intervention or respite services. 

Applications are due each year by August 1st. Grant funding runs from October 1st through September 30th. 

Qualifying for Funds

To be eligible for Youth Bureau funding, the youth-serving organization must be incorporated as a not-for-profit agency under the laws of the State of New York and have tax-exempt status in accordance with the IRS Code. Municipalities and not-for-profit organizations operating a youth program that focuses on youth development are welcome to apply. 

Application Process
